         SJR 34-CONST AM: PERM FUND CORP BD/ PUB CORP BD.                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
CO-CHAIRMAN RICK HALFORD called  the Conference Committee on SJR 34                                                             
to order at 1:10 p.m.  Present  were Senators Adams and Halford and                                                             
Representatives James, Kott and Smalley.                                                                                        
                                                                                                                                
CO-CHAIRMAN  HALFORD announced  that  at the  previous meeting  the                                                             
committee requested limited powers  of free conference.  With those                                                             
powers, the committee now needs  to formally take action on what it                                                             
agreed  to  do. The  House  version  with the  first  amendment  by                                                             
Representative  Halcro  that passed  on the  House  floor prior  to                                                             
reconsideration is the conference committee substitute.                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
REPRESENTATIVE  JEANETTE   JAMES  moved  to  adopt  the  conference                                                             
committee substitute labeled 1LS1373/I.   There being no objection,                                                             
the motion carried.                                                                                                             
                                                                                                                                
CO-CHAIR HALFORD  noted CCS SJR 34  would be reported back  to both                                                             
bodies and, with no other business, adjourned the meeting.
